Ultra SCSI-IDE bridge. Converts 40pin IDE to 50pin Male SCSI interface. Supports IDE ATAPI devices such as CD-ROM, CD-R/RW, and DVD-ROM (not for hard drives).
The AEC-7720U Ultra SCSI-IDE bridge is dedicated to general purpose bridge of SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) to IDE (Integrated Device Electronics) interface. With ACARD micro-controller core built-in, it provides more flexibility and stability for highly exploring applications. The AEC-7720U supports IDE ATAPI devices such as CD-ROM, CD-R/RW and DVD-ROM which can be easily attached to the SCSI bus.
With an IDE device installed into LVD SCSI-IDE bridge, it can be connected to SCSI host adapter and work as a standard SCSI peripheral. User can get the maximum benefits and high performance from SCSI Bus and IDE for devices.
