SATA Solid State Drives (SSDs)

SSDs (Solid State Drive) are flash-memory based devices with no moving parts. The result is increased sequential transfer rate, on par with or faster than SAS drives, faster random access times (on the order of 0.1ms), and increased IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) which could be much faster than hard drives. SSDs also don't lose sequential read performance like hard drives as they fill up. While flash-memory has a finite lifetime, all SSDs have wear-leveling and hidden memory for overprovisioning, so they'll give you several years of service before you begin to see diminished capacity. They are a great choice when speed takes priority over capacity. We offer only the proven, high performance SSDs on the market.
