SATA RAID Controllers
The Areca and HighPoint controllers are performance leaders in this category. They can be used with external SATA enclosures along with our internal to external bracket, and there are a couple of models with external 4X connectors. If you are not worried about RAID performance or need non-RAID hotswapping, the Silicon Image controllers provide cost-effective solutions with 4X or eSATA external ports. All PCI-X controllers will also work in a PCI slot.
