Drive Features
- Small Form Factor HDD: The adoption of 2.5" form factor to enterprise HDD, the required space is reduced up to 73% in comparison with previous 3.5" form factor enterprise HDD. This enables the installation of more number of HDDs into same area space.
- High Performance: It is possible to install more number of HDD in comparison with 3.5" HDD in same space, IO performance (*1) is improved under the system configuration.
- High Speed Interface: Serial Attached SCSI which is the New serial interface enables the High Speed Interface capability up to 3Gbits per second.
- Low Power Consumption:Power consumption requirement has reduced to 4.5 Watts (Idle). It achieves up to 53% lower power consumption in comparison with 3.5" HDD. (The comparison with Fujitsu products)
- Improvement for Shock Tolerance: FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) spindle motor (*2) and Head Load/Unload mechanism (*3) enable in high shock torelance. The drives withstand up to 400Go-p (duration 1ms) non-operating shock and up to 100Go-p (duration 1ms) operating shock.
