Recovery of lost or damaged files is as simple as copying from a Snapshot Backup volume, a much faster and more convenient operation than a tape restore.
Available only as an optional upgrade to the Adaptec Advanced Data Protection Suite, Snapshot Backup allows you to keep up to four concurrent snapshots. Multiple copies ensure your data is available, allowing you to recover from accidental deletions and alterations without needing to access tape backup. Snapshot Backup can also allow you to recover more quickly after having your data or system infected by a virus. Simply copy the files from a Snapshot Backup volume created prior to the infection to the primary volume.
