High Availability Storage
High availability storage subsystems utilize redundant RAID controllers and power supplies to help achieve higher levels of fault tolerance and system uptime. These are not only top-performing SAN and DAS units, but also the only way to eliminate one more point of failure from your storage system: the controller.
All of the HA systems we sell include a separate BBU for each RAID controller. For redundant RAID controller systems, the hard drive interface must be dual ported. SAS drives are dual ported, however if using SATA drives with HA storage systems you need to purchase a set of MUX boards sold separately.
