High Availability Storage (HA)
High availability storage subsystems utilize redundant RAID controllers and power supplies to help achieve higher levels of fault tolerance and system uptime. These are not only top-performing SAN and DAS units, but also the only way to eliminate one more point of failure from your storage system: the controller.
For redundant controller systems, the hard drive interface must be dual ported. SAS drives are recommended since they are dual ported, however you can use SATA drives by purchasing MUX boards sold separately.
Is a redundant controller system right for you? These units are also available with a single controller which will reduce your up-front cost. Give us a call and we can discuss various options available. Also check out our single-controller SAN and DAS units.
